As the name suggests, this competition focuses on Pokémon evolutions,This requires using Pokemon that are in the second tier of a three-tiered evolution tree. We've tried to rule out most of the popular options in the Go Battle League and rounded up some of the best options and team compositions to claim victory in the Evolution Cup.
Pokémon Go Evolution Cup Restrictions

Like many other competitions in the Go Battle League, the Evolution Cup limits the HP of your team's Pokémon. For this one you can just usePokemon with a HP of 1500 or less. This forces you to leave out some of your strongest Pokemon when building your team.
Be careful when evolving your Pokemon, since it can increase your CPmore than 1500. You'll see what your new CP will be before you evolve a Pokemon, so keep that in mind.
The second group of limitations proves to be more restrictive as it has to do with specific Pokémon evolutions. For this competition, you canOnly use Pokémon that have evolved at least once, which prohibits the use of Pokémon in their first stage of evolution. what's moreEligible Pokémon must also be able to evolve again., excluding those in their final stage of evolution.
essentially thatrequires you to use Pokemon to be in the middle stage of its specific evolution tree. Not only does this place strict requirements on your Pokemon, but it can also make it difficult to form a team. This is because this competition bans all Pokemon that have only one evolution or no evolution at all.
Evolution Cup leaderboards
Since there are no restrictions on what type of Pokemon you use in this cup, there isn't necessarily a "go to" type you want your lead to have. Because of this, you should focus on choosing oneLeader who can use fast charged attacks on his opponent. This will cause significant damage, or at least force the enemy to use their shields.
Also, you want a track thatcan take a lot of damage. He doesn't have to be the biggest member of your team, but you still want one that can take the enemy's charged attacks. This allows you to save your shields, giving you a significant advantage at the end of the game.
Fast moves are in plain text, attack moves are in italics.
ResistantThis means that the Pokémon takes less damage from moves of this type.
Weakmeans the Pokemon takes more damage from moves of that type.

It's also useful if your switch is onresistant to several species, especially the ones that your prospect is prone to. This allows you to quickly switch and use this Pokemon to balance your advantage when it's facing a strong opponent.

Evolution Cup Recommended Team Compositions

Now that we have the best Pokemon for each role, it's time to put them together andCollect possible team compositions. We've put together a mix of our recommended prospects, trades and deals to bring you three potential teams that will do well entering the Evolution Cup.
Hakamo-o - Vigoroth - Charjabug

This team is generally very "spammy" with their attacks,So you can cause significant damage to the opponent. Keep the pressure up with these three, punish the enemy for every mistake, or keep a Pokemon vulnerable for too long.
Hakamo-oIt has several resistances that give it significant security early in the game. When you face a strong opponent, don't be afraid to trade with someone.VigorothÖCharjabug; Possess the ability to maintain pressure without missing a beat.
Machoke - Zweilous - Chansey

This turns out to be veryfull team, which gives you great attack and defense. start withMacho, using your charged attacks to build up shield pressure and force your opponent to use their shields early in the game.
Follow this with the use ofof the, which quickly eliminates opposing Pokémon with its fast movements and good defense stats.ChanseyHe's a great finisher for this team who doesn't particularly stand out with his attack stats but makes up for it with his massive bulk.
Graveler de Alola - Dragonair - Piloswine

this team isall about shield printing, which allows you to force your opponent to use their shields quickly early in the game. Start withAllan Gravelerto deplete your opponent's shields or deal significant damage if they choose to salvage their shields.
dragon airIt doesn't have as much shield pressure as the other two Pokemon on this team, but it makes up for it with its ability to launch fast, high-damage attacks. end withPiloswino, again with large shield print. At this point in the game, your opponent has likely depleted all of their shields, so use your charged attacks to eliminate any remaining Pokémon.
