Refurbished machine warranty

Rug Doctor® carpet cleaners are manufactured, tested and certified to Rug Doctor's high quality standards. Refurbished Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machines ("Refurbished Machines") are covered by a ninety (90) day limited warranty ("Warranty").

Limited consumer warranty

Rug Doctor warrants refurbished machines purchased for normal household use (excluding commercial and rental use) to the original purchaser who maintains proof of purchase from Rug Doctor or an authorized Rug Doctor representative. You must notify Rug Doctor within thirty (30) days of original purchase if parts or components are missing from your refurbished machine.

What does this warranty cover/how long does it last?

Rug Doctor will repair or replace (using new or remanufactured parts), including labor, any part on a refurbished machine to the original purchaser that is defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period.

What the warranty does not cover

The following exclusions apply to failure of refurbished machines and parts caused by: 1) normal wear and tear, 2) replacement for new, 3) commercial use, 4) abuse or misuse of refurbished machines. This warranty does not provide a refund of the purchase price. For best handling and cleaning results, use Rug Doctor products. Use of a refurbished rental machine will void the warranty and is not permitted by federal law (see Statement of Unauthorized Use below). Rug Doctor will not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages of any kind related to the purchase/use of refurbished machines. Rug Doctor's liability will never exceed the purchase price of the refurbished machine. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. All other warranties, whether oral or written, are expressly disclaimed. Except as otherwise required by applicable state law, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose that may arise by law are limited to ninety (90) days from the specific date of purchase.

If a refurbished machine is returned to the warranty center for repair within thirty (30) days of original purchase, Rug Doctor will pay shipping costs to and from the warranty center. Users may then be directed to take the refurbished machine to a local repair center or may be required to send the refurbished machine to a Rug Doctor Warranty Center if additional repairs are required within the warranty period. During the warranty period, but after the first thirty (30) days, you will be responsible for any shipping costs to the warranty center for repairs. Rug Doctor will cover the shipping costs for the return of a refurbished machine.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

How do I get service under this warranty?

For warranty assistance, call 1-800-RUG DOCTOR (1-800-784-3628) Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 p.m. CST or email customer.support @rugdoctor.com. Rug Doctor requires the following information to assist you: name, address and telephone number, product model and serial number, proof of purchase with date and place of purchase. Explain the nature of the problem. A carpet doctor will review all the facts and make a recommendation for a recommended procedure. We recommend keeping the original carton and packing materials.

unauthorized use

Renting a refurbished machine bearing the Rug Doctor trademark is unauthorized and a violation of U.S.C. Section 1114(I) and 15 USC Section 1125(a).RUG DOCTOR will prosecute any crime to the fullest extent of the law.
